Sync that can't read what it carries
Keep the same vault on your desktop, laptop and office PC, or share one project with your team. Your PCs do all the encrypting, decrypting and merging; the relay just holds the sealed file.
How does KeysWalletWatch sync work?
When sync is on, every save uploads your vault, already encrypted, to the relay at sync.keyswalletwatch.com along with a version number. Your other PCs check for a newer version every 60 seconds and before you unlock, download it and merge it entry by entry. The relay never has a key, so it cannot read anything it stores. Sync is optional; without it, KeysWalletWatch works fully on one PC.

How to add another PC
Signing in somewhere isn't enough to get your vault. A new PC has to be approved by one you already trust.

Turn on sync on your first PC
In the vault's sync settings, start syncing. The encrypted vault is uploaded to the relay and this PC becomes the first device.
Choose Join Synced Vault on the new PC
Install KeysWalletWatch on the other PC and choose Join Synced Vault on the vault picker. It shows an 8-character pairing code, valid for 5 minutes.
Approve the code on the first PC
On a PC that already has the vault, approve the pairing request with that code. Nothing joins without this approval.
Unlock with your master password
The new PC downloads the encrypted vault and you open it with the same master password. From then on every save syncs.
Conflicts
Edits on two PCs merge, they don't overwrite
If two PCs saved changes at the same time, the relay refuses the one based on an older version. That PC downloads the newer vault, merges, and uploads again.

Shared projects
Share a project, not your whole vault
With Developer Mode on, you can share one project (say, a client's logins or a service's API keys) with other KeysWalletWatch users. Everything else in your vault stays private.
1. Invite
Create an invite code for the project. It's valid for 10 minutes.
2. Verify
When they ask to join, compare the short fingerprint (like 3F1A-9C02-B7E4-0D58) by phone or in person.
3. Approve
Approve them as an editor or a viewer. Viewers can't change anything, and the relay enforces it.
4. Manage
Remove someone and the project key rotates. Hand ownership to another member, or take over a project whose owner is gone.

FAQ
Sync questions
Do I need sync?
Only if you want the same vault on more than one PC. Without sync, KeysWalletWatch is a complete password manager on one computer, and the vault file is yours to back up however you like.
How do I add another PC to a synced vault?
Install KeysWalletWatch on the new PC and choose Join Synced Vault. It shows an 8-character pairing code. On a PC that already has the vault, approve that code. The new PC then downloads the encrypted vault and opens it with your master password. Codes expire after 5 minutes.
What happens if I edit the same entry on two PCs?
The edits merge entry by entry. If an entry changed on only one PC, that change is kept. If it changed on both, the newest edit wins and the other version's password is kept in that entry's password history, so it isn't lost. Deletions sync too.
What does "vaults" mean in the sync plans?
A vault is one encrypted password file, such as your personal vault or a shared family one. Sync plans count vaults, not PCs: Sync covers 2 vaults, Sync Family 6 and Sync Team 15. Shared-project members are covered by Family and Team.
